The "Something to Smile About" contest is a contest sponsored by Merial Limited ("Sponsor") for the purpose of raising the awareness of good dental/oral health with consumers and encouraging pet owners to schedule regular dental appointments and establish an at-home dental care routine for their pets.

To participate in the contest, you must register online at www.mypetsmiles.com and submit up to three photographs of your pet smiling or doing something that makes you smile. Internet access and a valid email account are required. All registrations must include your name, address, and e-mail address. All registration submissions must be received no later than 11:59 pm, EST, March 9, 2007. Registrations that do not provide the required information, or which do not comply with the delivery and other contest requirements, will not be processed and will be disqualified. The contest will run from February 9, 2007, through March 9, 2007. The names of the grand prizewinner and three runner-ups will be drawn from the pool of submitted registrants.

Registrations must be submitted by pet owners. Only one registration form may be submitted per person, and up to three photographs can be entered into the online photo gallery. Additional information can be obtained at www.mypetsmiles.com. Registrations can be submitted by legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older as of the date the registration is submitted. Employees, officers and directors of Merial and their respective parents, subsidiaries, and affiliated companies, successors and assigns, and their respective immediate family members (spouses, parents, siblings, and children) are not eligible to enter or win. Winners will be contacted by e-mail by April 1, 2007.

Registrations and entries that are incomplete, inaccurate, late, misdirected, or garbled for any reason—including by reason of hardware, software, browser or network failure, malfunction, congestion or incompatibility at any of the Sponsor's servers or elsewhere—will not be eligible. The Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the www.mypetsmiles.com Web site, or otherwise acting in violation of the rules. The Sponsor further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify any aspect of the contest, not capable of completion as planned for any reason, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort. All entries become the property of Merial Limited and will not be acknowledged or returned.

There will be one grand prize contest winner and three runner-ups. The grand prize winner of the contest shall receive a three-day, two-night spa getaway for him/herself and a guest. The grand prizewinner will also receive a three-day, two-night pet hotel stay for one pet. Each of the three runners up will receive a gift basket filled with various treats for their dog or cat.

Submission of a registration form and at least one photograph constitutes a participant's acceptance of the contest rules, and agreement that the Sponsor may use, copy, retain, and publish the photograph(s) without restriction.

Acceptance of a prize constitutes consent to the use of participants' names, cities, states and likenesses (without further compensation, except where prohibited) by the Sponsor and their licensees for editorial, advertising and marketing purposes. Winners will be required to sign and submit an affidavit acknowledging the foregoing and their eligibility, and a liability/publicity/permission release and waiver within 14 days, or an alternate winner may be chosen. The contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void outside the 50 United States and District of Columbia and where prohibited.

Participants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding on all matters relating to this contest. By entering, participants release and hold harmless the Sponsor and their respective parents, subsidiaries, and affiliated companies, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents and affiliates (the "Releasee") from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in this contest. The Sponsor reserves the right to modify this contest in any way they deem necessary or appropriate. Entry constitutes permission for the Sponsor and its designees to use names, cities, states, likenesses of participants and winners for promotional purposes in any and all media at the discretion of the Sponsor without additional authorization, notice or compensation unless prohibited by law.
